cover photo
Mandy Kellner takes a high line below a spectacularly wind-sculpted cornice on a ski tour through the Eastern Chilcotin mountains. Behind her, spindrift blowing over the ridge crest is caught in backlight by the sinking sun. This photo was taken by Telkwa photographer Derek Willmott, with a Canon AE1 on Fujichrome 100 film, and later scanned into a digital file. To view more of Willmott’s photos, visit an exhibit featuring his wilderness photos, titled Feeling Wild, at the Smithers Art Gallery Friday Jan. 6-28, 2006.
